Carúil na Nollag
Bhí Íosa sa Mháinséar: Gléas G
Bhí Íosa sa
Mháinséar i dtír ‘bhfad I gcéin,
Bhí bó agus
asal ag iníor dóibh féin.
Ag
féachaint anuas Air, bhí réaltaí sa spéir,
Ar an
leanbh a dhíol as ár bpeacaí go daor.
Nuair a
dhúisigh an Naíonán le géimneach na mbó,
Ár dTiarna
beag Íosa níor ghoil sé sa chró.
Anseo ar mo
ghlúine is tú i do luí,
Is duitse a
Íosa a ofráilim mo chroí.
Oíche Nollag: Gléas G
Le coinnle
na n-aingeal tá an spéir amuigh breactha,
Tá fiacal
an tseaca sa ghaoth ón gcnoc,
Adaigh an
tine is téir chun na leapan,
Luífidh Mac
Dé insan tigh seo anocht.
Bhí soilse
ar lasadh i dtigh sin na haíochta,
Cóiriú gan caoile, bia, agus deoch.
Do cheannaithe ola, do cheannaithe
síoda,
Ach luífidh Mac Dé insan tigh seo
anocht.
(CANAIMID VÉARSA 1 ARÍS.)
Carúl Loch Garman. Gléas G
Ó tagaig’ uile is adhraigí,
An leanbh cneasta, sa chró ‘na luí.
Is cuimhnigí, ar ghrá an Rí,
A thug dár saoradh, anocht an Naí.
‘S a Mhuire Mháthair i bParrthas Dé,
Ar chlann bhocht Éabha, guigh ‘nois go
séimh,
Is doras an chró, ná dún go deo,
Go n-adhram feasta, Mac Rí na hÓighe.
2.
I mBeithil thoir, i lár na hoích’,
Ba chlos an deascéal, d’aoirí;
Go follas don saol, sa spéir go binn,
bhí aing’l ag canadh ó rinn go rinn.
‘‘Gluaisíg’ go beo’’, dúirt aingil Dé,
‘’go Beithil sall
Is gheobhaidh sibh é, ‘na luí go ciúin i
máinséar tuí;
Siúd é an prionsa, Mac óg an Rí.’’
Rugadh Aon Mhac Dé – Gléas D nó C
Nach méanar dúinn, le dóchas inár gcroí’
Ón réaltóg bheag, lonnrú ins an spéir,
Ar fud an domhain, bánú geal an lae,
Ag fógairt scéil, Rugadh Aon Mhac Dé.
Bí dóchasach, tá athrú ar an tsaol,
Seo deir an ghaoth, sioscarnaigh go
réidh,
Ná bíodh amhras ort, ‘s mór í cumhacht
an Rí,
Ag cur in iúl, gur rugadh Aon Mhac Dé.
Ní brionglóid seo, ní aisling neamhda í,
Ach fírinne, faisnéis úd na bhfáidh,
Is creidimis le gliondar inár gcroí,
Gur rugadh Naí, rugadh Aon Mhac Dé.
Oíche Chiúin, Gléas C
Oíche Chiúin, oíche Mhic Dé,
Cách na suan, dís araon,
Dís is dílse faire le spéis,
Naíon beag gnaoigheal ceananntais caomh,
Críost ‘na chodladh go séimh,
Críost ‘na chodladh go séimh.
Oíche chiúin, oíche Mhic Dé,
Aoirí ar dtús, chuala an scéal;
Alleluia aingeal ag glaoch,
Cantain suairc i ngar is i gcéin,
Críost ár Slanaitheoir Féin,
Rudolph:
Rudolph an fia le srón mhór,
Srón a bhí chomh dearg le rós,
Dá mbeadh sé feicthe agatsa,
Bheadh sé i do chuimhne fós
Ní raibh na fianna deas leis,
Ní ligidís do bheith ag spraoi,
Is faoina shrón mhór dearg,
Bhídís riamh ag magadh faoi,
Oíche Nollag scaip an cheo,
Bhí San Nioclás faoi bhrón,
‘Teastaíonn treoraí lonnrach uaim,
Rudolph leannfaidh mé do shrón!’
Nach air a bhí an t-áthas,
Nach ar Rudolph a bhí bród!
Threoraigh sé carr Shan Nioclás,
Las an tsrón geal an ród!
Íosagán do Tháinig Chugainn
Íosagán do tháinig chugainn,
Insan oíche fhuar, (x2)
Rugadh ins an stábla é,
Asal agus bó ann, (x2)
Bhí na réiltíní sa spéir,
Is an talmh ciúin (x2)
In Excelsis Gloria,
Sin a chan na haingil(x2)
Beannaigh sinn a Íosagán,
Beannaigh sinn ó Bheithil. (x2)
Don Oíche Úd i mBeithil
Don oíche úd i
mBeithil, beidh tagairt ar ghréin go brách,
Don oíche úd i mBeithil go dtáinig an Bhréithir slán;
Tá gríosghrua ar spéarthaibh 's an talamh 'na chlúdach bán;
Féach Íosagán sa chléibhín, 's an Mhaighdean 'Á dhiúl le grá
Ar leacain lom an tsléibhe go nglacann na haoirí scáth
Nuair in oscailt ghil na spéire tá teachtaire Dé ar fáil;
Céad glóire anois don Athair i bhFlaitheasaibh thuas go hard!
Is feasta fós ar talamh d'fhearaibh dea-mhéin' siocháin!
Don oíche úd i mBeithil go dtáinig an Bhréithir slán;
Tá gríosghrua ar spéarthaibh 's an talamh 'na chlúdach bán;
Féach Íosagán sa chléibhín, 's an Mhaighdean 'Á dhiúl le grá

Winter Wonderland
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening,
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We're happy tonight.
Walking in a winter wonderland.
Gone away is the bluebird,
Here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song,
As we go along,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
In the meadow we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown
He'll say: Are you married?
We'll say: No man,
But you can do the job
When you're in town.
Later on, we'll conspire,
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid,
The plans that we've made,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
In the meadow we can build a snowman,
And pretend that he's a circus clown
We'll have lots of fun with mister
snowman,
Until the other kids knock him down.
When it snows, ain't it thrilling,
Though your nose gets a chilling
We'll frolic and play, the Eskimo way,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
Frosty The Snowman
Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul,
With a corncob pipe and a button nose
And two eyes made out of coal.
Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale, they say,
He was made of snow but the children
Know how he came to life one day.
There must have been some magic in that
Old silk hat they found.
For when they placed it on his head
He began to dance around.
O, Frosty the snowman
Was alive as he could be,
And the children say he could laugh
And play just the same as you and me.
Frosty the snowman knew
The sun was hot that day,
So he said, "Let's run and
We'll have some fun
Now before I melt away."
Down to the village,
With a broomstick in his hand,
Running here and there all
Around the square saying,
Catch me if you can.
He led them down the streets of town
Right to the traffic cop.
And he only paused a moment when
He heard him holler "Stop!"
For Frosty the snow man
Had to hurry on his way,
But he waved goodbye saying,
"Don't you cry,
I'll be back again some day."
Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Look at Frosty go.
Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Over the hills of snow.
Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul,
With a corncob pipe and a button nose
And two eyes made out of coal.

Guím Nollaig faoi Mhaise
Guím Nollaig faoi mhaise oraibhse
Guím Nollaig faoi mhaise oraibhse
Guím Nollaig faoi mhaise oraibhse
Is athbhliain faoi shéan.
Deá-scéala a thugaim daoibh thíos ar an
saol.
Sonas is suaimhneas is athbhliain faoi
shéan.
Guím Nollaig faoi mhaise oraibhse
Guím Nollaig faoi mhaise oraibhse

We all want some figgy pudding,
We all want some figgy pudding,
We all want some figgy pudding,
So bring some right here.
We won’t go until we get some,
We won’t go until we get some,
We won’t go until we get some,
So bring some right here.
