THE NEW YEARS SPEECH
James Tomas lived at 7 Oxford Street at the start of 2022. James, come down. It`s time for dinner.” Called his Mom “Coming,” he called back. Dinner was a delicious homemade spaghetti bolognese and meat balls. After dinner they played cluedo, monopoly and headbands. “It`s time for the countdown” said Dad.
“10, 9, 8, 7.” Everyone on Oxford Street was counting “6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!” Everyone cried at once. And then Boris Johnson said a few short words. “This will not be like last year.” And what of James you ask “he`s right , it`s not like last year” he thought.
